Education for exceptional learners requires an intentionally designed environment.

Arizona Gifted Academy is a small, specialized learning community in Scottsdale, Arizona, created for intellectually curious and highly capable children. Our program is intentionally designed to provide individualized instruction, meaningful academic challenge, and a nurturing environment where gifted learners can thrive. We understand that bright children often develop asynchronously and benefit from more depth than what is commonly offered in school settings, as well as accelerated pacing, and opportunities to engage with areas of passion.

Unlike traditional classrooms where instruction must be standardized to fit large groups of students, Arizona Gifted Academy focuses on personalized learning, intellectual exploration, and deep engagement with ideas. Maintaining this type of environment requires intentionally small class sizes and a high level of teacher engagement.

We recognize that many exceptional children pursue deep interests beyond the classroom—whether in music, athletics, the arts, or other passions. Families are often balancing rich extracurricular commitments alongside their educational choices.

With this in mind, Arizona Gifted Academy offers two learning pathways designed to provide both academic rigor and flexibility: a Univerisyt Model Program (Mondays and Wednesdays) and a Full-Time Program. Both programs operate under Arizona Gifted Academy’s private school umbrella and include Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs), student portfolios, and academic transcripts to ensure thoughtful documentation of each child’s progress, alignment with academic standards, and achievements.

Our University Model Program and our Full-Time Program both include an integrated approach to core subjects of mathematics, language arts, social studies, and science, along with foreign language (Mandarin or Spanish) and meaningful STEM experiences. Core subjects are often explored in more depth through integrated, project-based learning, allowing students to research meaningful questions, develop written and oral communication skills, and engage deeply with complex ideas across disciplines.

Students also participate in Logic of Thinking, a time designed to cultivate algebraic-style systems thinking and strengthen metacognitive skills, as well as Life Lab, a dedicated time focused on developing executive functioning and supporting social-emotional growth. Additional elements of the program include public speaking, art literacy, and creative expression.

Each day also includes ample recess, physical activity, and outdoor time, reflecting our belief that intellectual growth is best supported by movement, exploration, and play. Our relaxed learning environment creates a warm, home-like atmosphere that encourages deep engagement, curiosity, and joyful learning.

2026-27 Tuition:

Arizona Gifted Academy accepts Arizona ESA funds that may be applied toward tuition for either of our learning programs. Our 2026-27 school year follows Scottsdale Public Schools and begins Monday, August 10th.

University Model Program

Mondays & Wednesdays | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

$780 per month
$7,800 annually

Students attend in-person twice per week and continue guided learning at home on alternate days with parent partnership and teacher support. This model provides flexibility for families while still offering a structured academic experience and intellectual community.

Full-Time Program

Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

$1,725 per month
$17,250 annually

Our full-time program offers a fully immersive academic experience where students engage daily in individualized learning, collaborative projects, and intellectual exploration alongside their peers.
